Booze Kills Nuke

Nuker are short sighted, greedy, they want immediate gratification, they don't care about short term risks to others or long term risks to anyone.

http://enformable.com/2012/10/supervisor-at-calvert-cliffs-confirmed-positive-for-alcohol-during-fitness-for-duty-test/

And they get drunk on duty.    Drunk while operating the most dangerous thing on earth.

And these drunks just arent the worker bees, these are the supervisors.

Nuke is too dangerous for humans.

At Kewaunee workers were busted for drinking at lunch IN CONTAINMENT!   Now Kewaunee is being shut down, 1 down 103 to go.

George Washingtons blog - Nuke Source for Nuke Pro

I normally like to come up with original material, but this list was just too perfect
Stolen from ZeroHedge who stole it from George Washington.

 http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/2012-10-26/more-dozen-nuclear-plants-near-hurricane-sandy%E2%80%99s-path-brace-impactcc

The following lists the nuclear reactors and utilities in Sandy’s potential path.
Plant More than a Dozen Nuclear Plants Near Hurricane Sandys Path Brace for Impact
While we don’t foresee any problems, the risk of nuclear accident in the U.S. is actually much greater than it was in Japan before Fukushima.
For example, fuel pools in the United States store an average of ten times more radioactive fuel than stored at Fukushima, and have virtually no safety features.
Let’s review the list and look at examples of problems experienced by the nuclear plants in Hurricane Sandy’s path:
  • Salem has been riddled with problems with security, turbines problems and  other issues.
  • Hope Creek has suffered security problems, has the same design as the Fukushima Daiichi Unit 1, has “some of the same issues with above-ground storage of spent fuel rods as Fukushima” and “was designed to withstand certain major weather events but we need to look at the potential impacts of more extreme events, especially … sea level rise and flooding”
  • Oyster Creek has been plagued with electrical and other problems
  • Millstone’s vulnerability is shown by the fact that it was shut down due to warm seawater
It’s not surprising that there have been problems at all of these nuclear plants. After all, the U.S. has 23 reactors which are virtually identical to Fukushima. The archaic uranium reactor designs developed more than 40 years ago are only good for making bombs.
Most American nuclear reactors are old. They are aging poorly, and are in very real danger of melting down. And yet the NRC is relaxing safety standards at the old plants. And see this.
Indeed, while many of the plants are already past the service life that the engineers built them for, the NRC is considering extending licenses another 80 years, which former chairman of the Tennessee Valley Authority and now senior adviser with Friends of the Earth’s nuclear campaign David Freeman calls “committing suicide”.

Nuke Jousting scores a kill, LOL

This is Hilarious…on Saturday the 20th, a pronuker was attacking me and posted links to a Wisconsin nuclear site. The link he provided gave me some troll jousting fodder, and I took a shot a Kewaunee, a troubled Wisconsin nuclear plant….

2 days later….they announce the closing of the plant.

No joke, check this article on ENENews, the Kewaunee nuke plant is being mothballed for economic reasons -- as its former large buyers have developed a successful feed-in-tariff using solar PV, and of course, Nat Gas backup and generation.

Would they tell?

Would they tell?

If the Earth was going to fly through a "cloud" of meteors, would "they" tell you?

Supposedly, something as small as 400ft across could have earth devastating effects.   What if we were going to fly through a high density zone of meteors say 50 ft to 600ft in diameter?   And take maybe 200 serious hits?

Would they tell you?

Or would they make a power grab for all the resources in the world?
Would they build bunkers?
Would they beef up civilian law enforcement tools and vehicles?

Your house would not likely be hit directly, but areas along shorelines could be wiped out by waves.     A great majority of important commerce occurs on waterways.   Economic and social chaos could be huge.
------------------------------------------------------------
They call it the Tunguska Event.

There was a big asteroid that "blew up" over Russia in 1908, "they", you know the experts (!) couldn't find any remnant of the space rock.  Now they think Lake Cheko is actually the impact crater.

NASA says this rock was probably only 120 feet across.

 http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/11/071107-russia-crater.html

They say the "blast" was equal to about 1000 Hiroshima Bombs, and it flattened 770 square miles of forest.

They says that a 10M (about 33 feet across) space rock can generate a blast equal to a small Nuke bomb like at Nagasaki.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What if 25% of the planet were about to be wiped out?  Would they tell us, would they tell the muppets?

Or would amateur astronomers pickup near earth trajectories just days ahead of time?   Perhaps the big scopes and space based scope already know much of this.   But no use exciting the sheeple, sheeple are harder to shear when they are running around all panicked.

June 2012 a recently discovered asteroid did a fly by, and it was discovered to be "earth crushing" size, more than twice the size the earlier estimates made.

    Solar Calculations are Really Easy

A pronuker was claiming that a family of 4 needs 120 PV solar panels to make their own electricity.    Turns out he was lying by a factor of 400%---trying to make it seem like energy independence was impossible to obtain when in fact it is simple and easy to obtain.
    ______________________________________________________________

    Here is his comment

    04:55 PM on 10/15/2012
What's wrong with placing a moratorium on all BIG energy proposals, while we see how to maximize solar-on-every-roof and conservation?

    ThinkCreeps
Because it'll be very dark. That's an excellent step, but not sufficient.

40kWh per day per head is the average US electricity consumption. Does your family of four have a 200-square-meter roof?

Here is my response.  If you follow the calcs, you will see just how easy they are.
    _____________________________________________________________
I see 2152 SF, and about 18 SF per 255W panel, that means 120 panels.    Now using a DC to AC multiplier of .824 the AC output of the panel will be around 210W *120 panels, or around 25.214 kW.   Wow!   that is a huge system creeps!

Now at 5 Sunhours *25.1 kW that equals around  126 kWH per day.   that would be 30 day * 126 kWH or around 3782 kWH per month.

hmmm--at the national average of $.12 that would mean the monthly bill would be around $453 a month in electricity, although the average family of 4 only pays $120.

And indeed, in Hawaii, sunhours around 6, the average family takes their bill to zero with about 20 to 30 panels NOT 120 panels as you "promote"

So stop lying, how can you tell when a nuker is lying?  When his keyboard is typing.

Go solar, so cheap, there has been a seachange.

    San Onofre the Real Story

    From "jollygoodtimer"

Try to read between the lines of SCEdison's proposal for the partial test restart at San Onofre.

Can you you see that SCE is ---wink, wink--- is trying to get you to see they are --wink, winking--at you?

SCE knows that San Onofre is toast. But they can't say that. We must say that San Onofre is simply undergoing repair necessary for gradual restart.

We must agree to pretend, for the present time, that San Onofre is less than half-way through its operable power generating life span.

Because once we say that San Onofre's days are done generating electricity, the FASB (financial accounting standards board) rules will require that costs for decommissioning the facility must be recognized on all of SCE's financial reports.

That will cause the financial ratios used by SCE's stock and bond investors, and used to calculate executive bonuses, to change from mildly sweet to excessively bitter.

The costs for decommissioning the San Onofre facility need to remain as addendum items on SCE's books - still far out into the future when technological advances are expected to make the estimated nominal costs of decommission significantly less than today.

That's the little game - wink, wink - we all need to play along.

Until SCE can legally decouple the liability of decommission expense from their asset and equity equation - lets just agree to say that full power operation is just around the next corner.

Major points against SanO remaining in operation:
    1. It is sited on Major Fault lines + the new NRC Director is a trained Geologist that knows faults.

    2. SCE sneaked the RSG phony design past the NRC review process!

    3. SCE/SanO has the worst operated reactor in the Country.

    4. SCE has a long history of major Safety violations that is the worst in the USA.

    5. SanO almost had a major nuclear accident because of SCE's "in-house" bad tube design.

    6. Decommissioning SanO would instantly solve all the NRC SanO oversight issues.

    7. The NRC knows that if they stop SanO from restarting, the Industry will get the message, to tighten up their operations.

    8. It will make the NRC look great without making them look like they caved into the activists.

    9. Restarting even under 70% power has MAJOR RISKS, as the DAB Safety Team has already pointed out, so why take ANY chances?

As I see it, the NRC would much rather have all its SanO problems get Decommissioned and we can help by telling them N☢ SCE RESTARTS

    DETOX Radiation

I copied the entire article below on DETOX, I didn't write it.   But want a ready resource.   Reading some nuke and conspiracy sites, the promotion of potassium iodide is "Amazing".   Just one quick note.   Radioactive Iodine is one of the most dangerous isotopes released in quantity during a nuclear meltdown.    It goes to the thyroid and get sucked in there just like normal iodine.    You should have Potassium Iodide on hand just in case, HOWEVER, you should not be taking it like a vitamin.   It is only good during a big event.    Too much Iodine will mess you up.   Yet the hucksters who want to sell something seem to ignore this fact.   Disturbing, fear mongering for money while doing damage to people.

How to Detox Your Body of Depleted Uranium Residues, the Effects of Radiation, and Radioactive Contamination

    http://www.radiationdetox.com/depleted-uranium-detox.htm

It's sad but true that there are thousands of scientific references and medical studies out there on the fact that radiation and radioactivity can harm you, yet despite millions of dollars spent by the government to study radiation, virtually nothing is available about a detoxification diet or nutritional supplements you might use if you are exposed to radioactive contamination.

Here's some of the information we do know from the only book in the world on the topic. Keep this information in the back of your mind as it may one day help save you or someone you know.

Most people are aware taking potassium iodide (KI) or potassium iodate (KIO3) tablets will help block your thyroid gland from absorbing radioactive iodine should there ever be a dirty bomb explosion or nuclear power plant mishap such as the Three Mile Island incident. In 1999, another such accident happened in Tokaimura, Japan where several individuals died from radiation exposure in a fuel processing facility.

What people don't recognize is that potassium iodide or iodate tablets only protect the thyroid gland and do not provide protection from any other radiation exposure, so taking them should not give you a false sense of security. It's important to detox your body after radioactive exposure!

One question is, what do you do if KI or KIO3 tablets aren't available during an emergency? Interestingly enough, according to research by Ken Miller, health physicist at the Hershey Medical Center, he found that an adult could get a blocking dose of stable iodine by painting 8 ml of a 2 percent tincture of Iodine on the abdomen or forearm approximately 2 hours prior to I-131 contamination. Potassium iodine tablets are best, but if they're not available this is the next best thing.

An entirely different problem arises after you've been exposed to radioactive contamination because now you have to get rid of any radioactive particles you may have ingested through the air you breathed, water you drank, or food you ate. Some people suggest Epson salt, Clorox or clay baths to remove any residues on your skin and to leach out any heavy metals you may have absorbed, but the big worry is internal contamination. To gain some insights into what to do, we have to turn to the story of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki.

At the time of the atomic bombing, Tatsuichiro Akizuki, M.D. was Director of the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Francis's Hospital in Nagasaki and he fed his staff and patients a strict diet of brown rice, miso and tamari soy soup, wakame, kombu and other seaweed, Hokkaido pumpkin, and sea salt. He also prohibited the consumption of sugar and sweets since they suppress the immune system.

By imposing this diet on his staff and patients, no one succumbed to radiation poisoning whereas the occupants of hospitals located much further away from the blast incident suffered severe radiation fatalities.

Much of this positive result has to do with the fact that the sea vegetables contain substances that bind radioactive particles and escort them out of the body. This is why seaweed sales usually skyrocket after radiation disasters, and why various seaweeds and algae are typically used to treat radiation victims.

In Chernobyl, for instance, spirulina was used to help save many children from radiation poisoning. By taking 5 grams of spirulina a day for 45 days, the Institute of Radiation Medicine in Minsk even proved that children on this protocol experienced enhanced immune systems, T-cell counts and reduced radioactivity. Israeli scientists have since treated Chernobyl children with doses of natural beta carotene from Dunaliella algae and proved that it helped normalize their blood chemistry. Chlorella algae, a known immune system builder and heavy metal detoxifier, has also shown radioprotective effects. Because they bind heavy metals, algae should therefore be consumed after exposure to any type of radioactive contamination.

In 1968 a group of Canadian researchers at McGill University of Montreal, headed by Dr. Stanley Skoryna, actually set out to devise a method to counteract the effects of nuclear fallout. The key finding from their studies was that sea vegetables contained a polysaccharide substance, called sodium alginate, which selectively bound radioactive strontium and eliminated it from the body.

Sodium alginate is found in many seaweeds, especially kelp, and since that time the Russians have been seriously researching the use of their own kelps from Vladivlostok, from which they have isolated the polysaccharide U-Fucoidan, which is another radioactive detoxifier. Because miso soup was so effective in helping prevent radiation sickness, the Japanese have also done research identifying the presence of an active ingredient called zybicolin, discovered in 1972, which acts as a binding agent to also detoxify and eliminate radioactive elements (such as strontium) and other pollutants from the body.

The kelps and algaes aren't the only natural foods with radio-detoxifying effects. In terms of fluids to drink, black and green tea have shown "radioprotective effects" whether consumed either before or after exposure to radiation. This anti-radiation effect was observed in several Japanese studies, and studies from China also suggest that the ingredients in tea are radioactive antagonists.

In short, after any sort of radioactive exposure you want to be eating seaweeds and algaes along with almost any type of commercial heavy metal chelating formula to bind radioactive particles and help escort them out of the body. Whether you're worried about depleted uranium, plutonium or other isotopes, this is the wise thing to do which can possibly help, and certainly won't hurt. Many nutritional supplements have been developed for the purpose of detoxifying heavy metals, most of which contain the algaes and plant fibers and other binding substances.

Basically, an anti-radiation diet should focus on the following foods:

    · Miso soup
    · Spirulina, chlorella and the algaes (kelp, etc.)
    · Brassica vegetables and high beta carotene vegetables
    · Beans and lentils
    · Potassium, calcium and mineral rich foods
    · High nucleotide content foods to assist in cellular repair including spirulina, chlorella, algae, yeast, sardines, liver, anchovies and mackerel
    · Cod liver oil and olive oil
    · Avoid sugars and sweets and wheat
    · A good multivitamin/multimineral supplement

Yet another benefit of the sea vegetables rarely discussed is their high mineral content, which is a bonus in the case of radioactive exposure. Consuming natural iodine, such as in the seaweeds, helps prevent the uptake of iodine-131 while iron inhibits the absorption of plutonium-238 and plutonium-239. Vitamin B-12 inhibits cobalt-60 uptake (used in nuclear medicine), zinc inhibits zinc-65 uptake and sulfur is preventative for sulfur-35 (a product of nuclear reactors) incorporation by the body.

Since nuclear workers are potentially exposed to radioactive sulfur, this means that workers in the atomic power industry need a higher content of sulfur in their diet. MSM supplements provide a source of dietary sulfur, but thiol supplements such as cysteine, lipoic acid and glutathione serve double-duty in this area because they help detoxify the body and attack all sorts of other health problems as well.

The immune system is usually hit hard after radiation exposure, and a number of steps can be taken to help prevent opportunistic infections after a radioactive incident. Though the full dimensions of the protective mechanism is still unknown, Siberian ginseng is one form of ginseng that exerts a definite radioprotective effect and has been demonstrated to lessen the side effects of radiation. It was widely distributed by the Soviet Union to those exposed Chernobyl radiation and is commonly used to help cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Consuming Reishi mushrooms is another proven way to bolster your immune system after radiation exposure and helps reduce the damage from radiation. It's been used to decrease radiation sickness in animals and help them recover faster after potentially deadly exposure.

Panax ginseng has prevented hemorrhaging after radiation exposure, prevents bone marrow death and stimulates blood cell formation, so it's another supplement to add to one's protocol. In short, yeasts, beta glucans, bee pollen and various forms of ginseng have all been shown to bolster the immune system after radiation incidents. In terms of radiation burns, aloe vera has a proven ability to treat serious radiation burns and offers other radioprotective effects, and can easily be grown in your house.

The amino acid L-Glutamine can be used to help repair the intestine in case of the gastrointestinal syndrome usually suffered due to radiation exposure, and a variety of substances can help rebuild blood cells to prevent hematopoietic syndrome. Those particular foods include beet juice, liver extract, spleen extract, and shark alkyglycerols. Most oncologists don't know that shark liver oil, with alkyglycerols, can help platelet counts rebound in days.

Depleted uranium is currently in the journalistic spotlight because US weapons are made from this material, and after being fired leave a legacy of depleted uranium dust in the environment, which anyone can absorb. Because the kidneys are usually the first organs to show chemical damage upon uranium exposure, military manuals suggest doses or infusions of sodium bicarbonate to help alkalinize the urine if this happens. This makes the uranyl ion less kidney-toxic and promotes excretion of the nontoxic uranium carbonate complex.

In areas contaminated by depleted uranium dusts, it therefore makes sense to switch to drinking slightly alkaline water and to favor a non-acidic diet to assist in this detoxification. Any of the heavy metal detoxifiers, such as miso soup, chlorella, spirulina and seaweeds, are also commonsense warranted.

Another thing you can do is use homeopathics for radiation exposure. People commonly argue over whether homeopathics work or not, but if you assume the position that they produce no results whatsoever then you must also assume that they certainly won't hurt you, which means the only loss from using them is a few dollars. Frankly, there are countless cases and double-blind studies where homeopathic tinctures do provoke physical healing effects in the body. Therefore they are a viable adjunct treatment option. One homeopathic, in particular, is URANIUM NITRICUM (nitrate of uranium) which homeopaths suggest should be used in cases of depleted uranium exposure or uranium poisoning. Not just soldiers or civilians exposed to battlefield dusts, but uranium miners and radiation workers may find it quite useful.

While we've discussed just a few of the many supplements and protocols you can use to help detox the body of the lingering results of radioactive contamination, including the residues of depleted uranium, the last thing that might be of interest is that there is a plant that is a natural geiger counter. The spiderwort plant is so sensitive to changes in radiation levels (its petals change color upon exposure) that it's often used as a natural radiation detector (dosimeter), just as they use canaries in mines as detectors of poisonous gas. Some people like knowing that they have an ongoing monitoring system for radiation in the environment, and this is just another tip available in "How to Neutralize the Harmful Effects of Radiation or Radioactive Exposure."

Radiation Continues Spreading and Spiking Across USA

Oct 10, 2012 reporting from Honolulu

We noted in a prior post that "Something Happened around September 17"  and radiation spiked high in a number of US cities, but especially the Pacific Northwest.

These are the areas that were the hardest hit by Fukushima the first time around, as the jet stream usually makes a beeline for them.

I was hoping that would be a week or so spike, and then back to normal, but that is not the case, and the radiation continues to spread east and south.  Disturbingly, over half of the Radnet data has gone black, especially in the bigger cities.   Your tinfoil hat won't protect you from this radiation fallout, no matter how thick.

This is time to alert your friends and neighbors, anything over 100 Clicks Per Minute (CPM) is time to get concerned, and now there are MANY places up over 100, some at 500.  Exposure to 100CPM for a year gives you a significantly increased chance of cancer....and that is just from getting hit externally with the radiation.    If you breath it in, it can be 20 times worse.    Exposure to 500 CPM for 90 days gives you a significantly increased chance of cancer.

Please review this handy Cheat Sheet on radiation.   Nuke Pro blog made this summary sheet in order to send a Geiger to Japan for local testing by Japanese families.

    At 18.4 microSv per hour

And annual exposure max of 20 MILLI Sievert per YEAR, that is 20,000 micro sievert per year.

simple math guys…no need to start appearing to do some scientific manipulations to get people to turn their brain off.

So how many hours to hit the max annual level? Simple math 20000/18.4 = 1086 hours.
How many days is that? 45 freakin days! OK?

What is the normal "it's time to retire from the nuke industry after 20 years of service", total dose, the answer is 100 MilliSievert.

100 MilliSievert equals 100,000 Micro Sievert, now divide that by 18.4 MicroSv per hour. 5434 Hours. Someone living at 18400 nGy/hr would therefore receive the max lifetime dose that a "paid for hazard pay nuke worker" in 7.5 months!!!!!!

And that is if they had a protective suit and HEPA air filter!@!!!!

The internal radiation becomes at least 20 times worse.

And as our Voyager craft leaves the solar system, back here on the home planet, we have the government/military nuclear cartel pushing for a “renaissance” in nuclear power.   And while we study solar physics, a major Coronal Mass Ejection CME from a sun event similar to Carrington event of 1867 could wipe out our power grids over much of the planet, taking decades to restore “civilization”.   However, we could survive that, but we cannot survive the hundreds of nuke plants that would melt down with the fry out of the electricity grid.   The systemic collapse would make if unfeasible to even deliver diesel for the backup generators (which rarely get properly testing anyway).

So we have set ourselves up for extinction, as greed for “cheap power” puts everything on the chopping block.

Obvious extinction scenarios should be dealt with.   Also in April 2012 a 154,000 lb meteorite snook up on the earth, entered the atmosphere, and hit the earth, the only warning about 2 days in advance from an amateur astronomer.   It landed in fragments in the foothills of California.   Bet you didn’t hear too much about that….it is harder the shear the sheeple when they are running around all panicked.

Obvious extinction scenarios should be dealt with.

Instead, governments remain in a currency war to see who can have the weakest currency so they can sell to other countries.    Money printing and propaganda, i.e. “communication” used as tools to achieve these goals, only problem is that everyone in the world is pursuing the race to the bottom.     It also seems like another war is setting up, and wouldn’t it be a great distraction for the upcoming election?   We will see, I think the odds are pretty low, like 15% but still very possible, this would be an Israel and Iran thing which could get out of control easily.

At least in the USA we have the best economic hitmen, only trouble there is that they have turned their sights on the motherload of wealth, the citizens of the USA, in particular, the public and 401K type retirement plans.

No great and glorious future will be launched by “technology” in the face of huge systemic and fundamental problems that are societal and governmental in nature.

And that is about all I have to say about that.

Hawaii still up 50% and Captain D Kickin' Okole on San Onfre

    CaptainD,   ahoy there CapnD....

the Capn been kicking some serious butt created these data docs to support the death of San Onfre.    Get em down, keep em down.    No more mister nice guy, or nice gal either...

Time for a nail in the coffin of nuke, before it kills us all.

    CHECK IT OUT!

    https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0BweZ3c0aFXcFZGpvRlo4aXJCT2s/edit

Also disturbingly, Inspector alert on 8 hours acculumulated click run, showed a confirmation of the 50% increase in airborne radiation in Hawaii.

Sure looks like Fukushima, swirling around the Pacific now, after a direct hit in the west coast, sorry coasties....maybe you should just move?

Yep 17990 clicks in 8 hours.   Not terrible, but a huge and obvious change.   Cleaning my HEPA filters and going to 2000g vitamin C every 3 to 6 hours.

The rain never seems to be radioactive here.   So it first dumps on the ocean and west coast and then we get the light airborne particles come to Hawaii.    What a sucky wolrd that we have to live on our home planet with these sociopaths that promote this poison as "clean energy"

VISIT THE CAPTAIN AND CHECK his fine work.

And kill San Onofre, like a centipede under your bed, it will eventually get you if you don't get it first.

Hawaii radiation levels up 50% in 2 of 3 tests

    Update on Hawaii rad levels

I has a normal 24 CPM reading over an 8 hours aggregation time

BUT THEN the next 8 hour test came in at 38 CPM.   Just odd, given that Hawaii has been consistent and fairly low all of 2012.

I am running another overnight test, this one outside and will report back results.

The issue is, of course, what the heck happened in August and September when mainland US cities started ramping up to scary levels, see post.

    Hawaii Radiation Report post Fukushima

Here in the Pacific Ocean, we didn't obtain a Geiger until 2012.

Radiation is now spiking up much more than ever before

There were huge waitlists, and doing the research on a proper Geiger was a bit challenging.

Early and midyear we noted very consistent radiation readings that could only be considered "background" at around 12,500 Clicks per 8 Hour Period.    Running the 8 hour test is a good way to do it, rather than just instantaneous observations of the current data, it takes out the peaks and valleys and gives a better overall report.

    (12,500 / 8 hours ) then further divided by 60 minutes = 26 CPM

Using the Nuke Pro handy conversion chart, permanently located here on the blog

     http://nukeprofessional.blogspot.com/2012/04/geiger-counter-interpretation.html

Surprisingly, I got my first reading of 19,400 Clicks in 8 Hours

    Almost a 50% increase!

Before, it was right around 12,500, RAIN OR SHINE

Hawaii is usually far below the jet stream that takes air from Asia to mainland USA, usually first impacted lower Canada and Washington, Oregon, Northern California.

So with Hawaii at 40 CPM, it is still below the 50 CPM level of "keep an eye on it".

Other places on mainland USA are far worse, and some of those are just lately.

But this leads credence to the view that something big happened, and most likely at Fukushima, coincident with the last "no moon" which oftens brings on earthquakes.

    HEPA filters
    Anti-oxidants
    Stay out of the rain

Basic and simple protections, besides working to rid the planet of nukes, that is all we can do for now.

    [...]
In April last year, researchers from Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University (NVLU), along with other institutions, began sampling muscle tissue of wild Japanese macaques caught in the provincial capital, Fukushima, for radioactive cesium content.
The concentrations ranged between 10,000 and 25,000 becquerels per kilogram immediately after the nuclear crisis began to unfurl the month before.

Radiation Spreading Across the US -- Update

I wrote an article a few days ago that got picked up by the "big blogs" and news gatherers, and even 4 outlets in Japan which brought in around 4000 Japanese visitors.

And ya think that they Japanese are not paying attention to radiation?   They are on it.

Heck, I even installed a translator!

    The data comes from Higgins
