Also, several months back, after being baffled by all the various radiation units bantered around, and always having to dig deep to figure out whether something mattered or not, I made a simple to use radiation chart. At the same time I was sending my geiger counter to Japan to help a Tokyo area family assess it's real risk, as it is obvious the Japan Gov /TEPCO has been lying through their teeth from day 1. An obvious uptrend in radiation is spreading across the country, with some areas seeing scary high levels. Something happened around Sept 17th.
Rule of thumb is that exposure to 100 CPM clicks per minute for a year results in a real risk of cancer, 500 CPM for 90 days is a real risk.
Many places are now up over 100,
25 is "normal" we just don't get that much lower. And back in the day, before Fuku, 50% to 66% of us got cancer, what will the new normal be.
Basic protective measures, air filters, anti-oxidants. Do them now if you are not on track.
We are taking much of it internally. Good s are still being shipped from the west coast... we are lining up in grocery store to buy the poison that will kill us.

Where is Wal mart to purchase untainted goods? This radiation is poisoning EVERYWHERE. For the first time in our history, there is simply no safe place on the globe to escape. A third of the northern pacific is laden with isotopes. Its into the Arctic and circulating around the planet.

ReplyDeleteI have been taking radiation mesaurements at my home for the past 7 years. We live in Western MA. Since the events at Fukushima, every time it rains we wipe off the car with a paper towel and take a radiation measurement of the wet paper towel. We found that when the rain comes from the west, we seen higher than normal radiation readings. When it comes form the south or east, we see normal radiation readings. Normal CPM for our area is 32 CPM.
ReplyDeleteLast year the highest reading we saw was 532 CPM in April. On September 29th 2012 (last weekend) we did the same test and measured 2,268 CPM. Yes, that is 2,268 CPM or 70 times normal background radiation. Needless to say we were stunned. Something happened but I can't find out what. Does anyone know of any events that could be causing the radiation readings we are seeing?
Thanks! Based on the fact that we only see the higher radiation readings from rainfall when the rain comes from the west or west-southwest, and the jet stream maps show it traveling to us from Fukushima, we believe Fukushima is the source. But it could anywhere west of us.

Forest fires. I'm not saying I know for sure, but that is a distinct possibility. I think "Fuki-nuki" material is burning within the forest fires (on trees, branches, dirt, humus, whatever), and as it gets incarcerated it becomes airborne once again. Aside from more releases from Fuku itself, that is the best conclusion I can surmise. The "spike" just seems correlated to the forest fires around the country.

But mostly the last week, been getting right around 18000 clicks.
How does that compare with what's happening in California, or on the west coast of the US. Is radiation up 50% there too?
DeleteBrazil has two nuclear power plants, so perhaps the mutated flowers are from leakage. From what I understand, there are three nuclear plants in the southern hemisphere - two in Brazil and one in Argentina.
